Detailed Itinerary for Eco-Adrenaline Adventure

The Eco-Adrenaline Adventure Package is packed with heart pumping fun like whitewater rafting, trekking through rainforests, rappelling down waterfalls and coastal kayaking. Visit some of Costa Rica's finest hotels while getting up close and personal with Costa Rica's natural wildlife.

Day 1

Arrive in Costa Rica where you will be welcomed by a representative from the national chamber of tourism and led through baggage claim and out of the airport to your personal driver who will take you to the Beacon Hotel in the quaint historic suburb of Escazu.

Day 2

Enjoy an early breakfast at your hotel before your private transfer to the Tobias Bolaños Airport for your flight to La Fortuna, Arenal. Your transfer will be waiting to take you to the Volcano Inn to get settled in before you are off on your first adventure: a volcano hike and hotsprings tour. The tour begins with a 15 minute trip to the far west side of the volcano. Your guide will inform you about the volcano's formation, eruption and contribution to the development of the town of Fortuna. This is the best way to look at the volcano lava flowing from a safe point and the best panoramic view of the volcano! Your hike will take you through a primary tropical rain forest, where you can spend about 1 ½ hours exploring the Silencio Trail. Finish your day with dinner and relaxing at the Tabacon hot springs.

Day 3

After a delicious breakfast served in the view of the Arenal Volcano, you will take a fun and “easy going” 30 minute 4x4 drive into a tropical Rainforest outside of La Fortuna, before the Arenal Volcano, spotting many different indigenous plants and animals along the way. Your trek will lead you through the forest on magical trails where you will have the chance to see monkeys, toucans, sloths, parrots and more. When the trail ends at spectacular waterfalls, you will rappel, yes, rappel, from the top down into the beautiful pristine canyon below. 

Day 4

Take one of the hottest full day rafting trips in the country on the mighty Rio Toro! Have a hearty breakfast and stretch in the morning because you’ll have two and a half hours of non-stop whitewater action. This stretch of rapids offers 45 continuous rapids on class 3-4 rapids. The river canyon includes exotic wildlife and fauna. Don’t worry, there will be plenty of time to relax and discuss your exciting rafting day back at the resort afterwards. Tours depart from La Fortuna at 8:30 am and return around 3:30 pm. 

Day 5

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before you head back to the airport for your direct flight from La Fortuna to Manuel Antonio with Nature Air. A driver will be waiting to take you to the eco-friendly Si Como No hotel with gorgeous ocean views. Today is yours to explore the beach town of Manuel Antonio and enjoy a delicious seafood dinner or some drinks under the stars.

Day 6

Choose either a day or night Ecological tour in the Titi Monkey Canopy Tour. This nature tour is excellent for individuals, families, children 5 years old and over, or large groups to get up close with the wildlife of Costa Rica. People of all ages will enjoy this adventure tour because of its variety, options and bio-diversity. Travel through Costa Rican tropical jungle on suspension cables as you move through the primary jungle canopy with your bilingual guides and safety spotters from platform to platform. Everything you need for the tour is provided, including a lunch, or dinner.

Day 7

Today's adventure begins when you driver takes you along the quick scenic route along the Manuel Antonio coastline to a rare jewel of a beach for a half day Islas Damas Kayak Tour. Explore the islands, take a swim and snack on delicious tropical fruits and bocas. The rest of the day is yours to choose. Take your snorkel gear on a kayak adventure. Feel free to have your bilingual naturalist guide direct you to the best snorkeling spots as you experience three small but growing, active, and astounding coral reef systems nestled very close to the shore of Biezans Bay. Or just relax and enjoy the tranquility of a private white sand beach.

Day 8

Today you will enjoy your last couple over hours at the beach before heading to the Quepos airport for your flight back to San Jose. At the airport, a transfer will be waiting to pick you up and take you back to Hotel Beacon downtown Escazu for one last day in Costa Rica.

Day 9

Your vacation has sadly come to an end. Today a shuttle will pick you up from your hotel and take you back the international airport for your flight home.
