Beaches make up a large part of Costa Rica's national parks and protected lands. Manuel Antonio National Park protects three immaculate white sand shores and adjacent rainforests. Hikers will enjoy easily accessible and well maintained trails.

Corcovado National Park is an immense reserve with tropical creatures from spider monkeys to kinkajous to caimans. The enormous protected area takes up a third of the Osa Peninsula, and is almost completely void of infrastructure.
