Day One
Fly into the Liberia International Airport where you will connect with your private transfer and be whisked away to the majestic Arenal Volcano and Rainforest! (approx 3 hours of incredible scenery).

Day Two
Wake up to the beautiful view from your balcony including the green rolling hills, tropical flowers and if the clouds cooperate, the majestic Arenal Volcano! Ease into your day slowly and lounge in the amenities with romantic private breakfast delivered to your room.
Later in the afternoon, depart for an educational volcano observation hike which stretched into the sunset hours allowing possible prime views of red glowing volcanic rock tumbling down the volcano. After the hike, enjoy a visit to some of the natural volcanic hotsprings and dinner.

The tour begins with a 15 minute-trip to the far west side of Arenal Volcano, at your arrival our guide will explain you everything about the Volcanoes formation, eruption and contributions to Fortuna is model development. This is the best way to look at the volcano lava flowing from a safe point and the best panoramic view of the volcano! Then you will submerge in a primary Tropical rain forest, where you will spend about 1 ½ hour exploring the Silencio Trail, which is located in a private primary forest, facing the majestic Arenal Volcano. Our certified bilingual naturalist guide will point-out indigenous rain forest plants and tell you about their medicinal properties. At dark, after visiting the trail, we will continue to the observation point, which offers the closest and most direct lava flow vista. Relax; enjoy a drink and listen to the incredible sounds of the volcano and watch we can be described as one the world´s greatest natural firework show. Listen to a variety of frogs, toucans, and insects and watch thousands of fireflies. Your tour can end here or you can continue with a refreshing three-hour thermal hot springs.

Day Three
Arenal Sky Trek

Embark on the great Austrian designed adventure of Sky Trek, by first riding up the Sky Tram gondola in order to reach the highest point of the Arenal Reserve. The real adventure starts from there and is full of adrenalin as riders cruise over the top of the green tree canopy. Sky Trek consists of a zip line system that shows you the Arenal rain forest and its landscape from a different perspective. Your safety is certainly accounted for with a completely innovated system. The tour includes 8 cross-sectional cables that together have a total length of 2.8 Km. with a distance from 30 to 760 meters, and from 20 to 200 meters of height. The cables go on through the trees and also above them, where you will have gorgeous views of Lake Arenal. During the Sky Trek tour you will be accompanied by qualified guides who are credited by the Instituto Costarricense de Turismo (Costa Rica Tourist Board). Please note that the first two zip lines are practice cables; after those, riders may choose if they want to continue on the Sky Trek, or go back on the Sky Tram.

Your Tiki Suite is one of five, deluxe ocean view Polynesian style wood and bamboo cabanas sit on stilts just 60 ft. (20m) from the beach, just below the Tropical Suits and to the side of the hotel. They are surrounded by tropical gardens and palm trees.

Full day expedition to Turtle Island!

Cruising along the coast for a breathtaking 50-minute boat ride is how you’ll begin your voyage to Tortuga Island. Jagged volcanic rock spills into the sea to create a dramatic contrast with the brown sand, red rocks and crushed shells that make up the variety of different beaches along the way.

Spotting a group of playful dolphins, marveling at the enormous jumping manta rays or for the luckiest of visitors, catching a glimpse of surfacing humpback whales are just a few examples of the marine life frequently viewed as we make our way to the island.

Upon arriving to the tropical paradise of Tortuga Island we anchor the boat within viewing distance of the white sand beach for our first snorkeling session. The crystal waters at Tortuga are surrounded by volcanic rock reef which is home of the best snorkeling site on Costa Rica’s Central Pacific coast.
King Angelfish, Porcupine fish, Morays, Needlefish, Spotted Eagle Rays and a myriad of other tropical beauties make for a phenomenal snorkeling experience. Not to mention the oysters your guide might find for a fresh ceviche on the beach!

After your incredible snorkeling adventure we take you onto the white sand beach of Tortuga Island. While lunch is being prepared grab a cold drink and take a stroll along the beach and swim in the calm crystal waters. For lunch our chef serves up fresh BBQ fish or chicken in his secret sauce, tasty grilled potatoes and vegetables, bread and a big fresh tropical fruit buffet.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to enjoy. Take part in a volleyball game or rent a kayak to discover the other secluded beaches of the island. Or for the more adventurous take a hike up to the top of the island for some spectacular views of the Gulf of Nicoya and the surrounding islands. Join us for a second snorkeling session at a different spot on the reef or take a siesta under the coco palms on the island. As the day comes to an end we get back on the boat for the picturesque ride back to Tango Mar.

Poás Volcano and Doka Coffee Plantation

As you awake each morning you will enjoy the view of the Poás Volcano from your Peace Lodge balcony. This tour offers you a much closer experience. Your informative guide will transport you to Poás, one of the four active volcanoes in Costa Rica, and impart to you the knowledge of the creation of Costa Rica via these sleeping giants. The crystal blue sulfur pools will amaze and enthrall you as you view this incredible landscape. Once you’ve had your fill of the beauty that is Poás, you will head to another of Costa Rica’s trademarks: an authentic coffee plantation. As one of the oldest hydro-powered wet mills in Costa Rica, this third generation coffee plantation has been voted the best coffee in the region. In fact, 90% of its high quality coffee is sent directly to Starbucks. You’ll learn how coffee is grown, picked, milled and ground. We may even find a basket for you to pick a few beans, or ‘cherries’ as the locals call them. Find out first hand, or ‘cup’, why Costa Rican coffee is so famous. And if you don’t get filled up on the coffee, you’ll return in time for lunch at Waterfall Gardens. (approx. 3.5 hours)
