Playa Nicuesa was designed to minimize any impact on the surrounding environment. The buildings are made from recycled materials and naturally fallen trees and use solar powered electricity. All rooms and the main lodge represent a seamless transition between the indors and out. The open-air dining area is elevated to the level of the surrounding jungle canopy, and the terrace bar offers ocean and jungle views.
The lodge's five private cabins and the Mango Guesthouse with four rooms offer privacy and comfort in a natural setting. All cabins and rooms have canopied beds, ceiling fans, private terraces and bathrooms with an open-air garden shower. Full length louvre doors wrap around each room and private verandas afford panoramic views of the natural rainforest surroundings.
A stay at Playa Nicuesa includes three gourmet meals each day that emphasis local cuisine, fresh fish, tropical fruits and vegetables. The reserve abounds with tropical fruit trees from mangos to pineapple, starfruit, oranges, lemons, papayas, bananas and coconuts. The fresh squeezed juices and salsas are limitless!
Come discover this beautiful retreat where many locals still get aroun by hand-carved wood boats, fishing is the main industry and everyone still greets eachother with a friendly "pura vida"!
