Today, October 28, 2010, Costa Rica’s National Surf Team returns from the Billabong ISA World Surfing Games in Peru, where for the fifth consecutive time they managed to place within the top ten countries in the world.
The games were held in Punta Hermosa, Lima from October 19th through 27th.
This year, Costa Rica placed 9th, finishing as one of the only two hispanic countries that made the cut.
Two spectacular Costa Rican atheletes introduced themselves into the realm of top surfing elites, both placing 16th: Carlos Muñoz, in Open; and Lisbeth Vindas, in Feminine Open.
Lisbeth also won the Sol Surf Pro 2010, presented by Lime Coral and the FCS, earlier this month.
